What a week this was and what a friday it ended up being! Nicole, Mom, and I all had fairly busy days so we decided to converge and converse over dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and do some shopping for an outreach our church is doing, before coming home to bake. Our baking has been fairly "easy" recipes thus far but we promise to challenge your culinary skills and sweet-seeking taste buds even further over the next few days. For today, however, we give you another super easy recipe that can be completed in about 20 mins (give or take melting/cooling time).

Our inspiration for this one came from a magazine my Mom has and she thought it would be a great one to try. The magazine calls these "Oatmeal Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies", however, after "dropping" these, we decided to affectionately rename them "Reindeer Bombs". Trust me, you'll see why. :)
We introduce: Reindeer Bombs!
Recipe:
1 1/2 cup sugar
4 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup skim milk
1 stick butter or margarine
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups Quick Oats
-Put sugar, cocoa, and butter in sauce pan.
-Bring to a boil an stir constently. Youll notice that the butter takes a bit to melt but by breaking it up, the melt time will cute considerably. It took me a bit to figure this out. ALSO, it helped me a LOT to use a wisk once the butter was melted to ensure thorough mixing of the ingredients.
-Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour in oatmeal, vanilla, and peanut butter. Mix well.
-Once the second set of ingredients are fully mixed, use a teaspoon to scoop the mixture and "drop" from spoon onto wax paper.
-Allow to cool completely before storing.
We noticed that these "piles" quite resembled those of animal excriment, and so came the name. I will say, while not attractive, the mixture tasted fabulous! We are currently letting ours cool and set but I am excited to try them out!
